Researching Phase
In order to determine different problems in the world right now and ways we can solve them, we will spend the months of December and January reading about different inventors, their inventions/innovations, and how they solved a problem.
Some inventors and inventions we will be researching include:
Elijah McCoy
& the Steam Engine
Mary Anderson
& the Windshield Wiper
Chester Greenwood
& Earmuffs
Benjamin Franklin
The Wright Brothers
Wind Turbines
The Hot Air Balloon
As we research these inventors and what they created, we will discuss the cause and effect relationship that led to problems being solved with inventions/innovations.
NOTE: The websites attached to the pictures on this page are not what we will be using for research. They are springboards to get a look at a little bit of information. Our actual research will use articles and our Wonders anthology book.
